A Very Origami Xmas!
Santa gave me a surplus of paper to play with this year
and lots of space to show them off.  I populated windowsills and tables with Christmas trees
topped with opalescent Saar stars,
and placed them on top of good old masu boxes,
then surrounded them with gift-wrap-paper reindeers
spilling out of paper stockings!
I kept thinking to myself this is too much!
This is the last year I’m making such a profusion!
It certainly didn’t help people to ignore
the temptations of naughty treats like
red velvety cupcakes!
But it turned out to be a good thing that I made a lot of table ornaments
because some elves forgot to put my presents (City Wallets) in Santa’s sack!
and the wallets spent Christmas on a couch with two lovely cats and zero humans!
Fortunately, I brought a spare Japanese paper wallet with me,
and convinced some upstanding citizens to have their pictures taken with the City Wallet.
